जेके टायर आरई 100 में शामिल होने वाली भारत की पहली टायर कंपनी बनी
New Delhi/Mumbai: India's leading tire manufacturer JK Tire & Industries has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by joining the RE 100 and using 100% renewable electricity by 2050. JK Tire is the first Indian tire manufacturer and the 16th Indian business to be included in the RE 100. To stay on track, the company has set a medium-term target (by FY 2030) to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity by 50 percent compared to the base FY 2019. JK Tire aims to promote sustainable practices within the sector, not only by preparing for future climate regulations but also by going "beyond compliance" to pave the way for a carbon-neutral future. On joining the RE100 initiative, JK Tire President And Managing Director Dr. Raghupati Singhania said, “Our decision to join RE100 reflects our unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility. Under the motto "Aaj Kal Ke Liye", at JK Tire we believe that a sustainable future requires significant action today. As an environmentally conscious brand, energy efficiency and conservation are at the top of our priority list. The company has set a primary objective of increasing the use of renewable energy by 2-5% annually and has continuously advanced the procurement and installation of green energy sources in its manufacturing facilities. Currently, 40% of the company's energy consumption comes from renewable sources.
नई दिल्ली/मुंबई : भारत की अग्रणी टायर निर्माता जेके टायर एंड इंडस्ट्रीज ने आरई 100 में शामिल होकर और 2050 तक 100% नवीकरणीय बिजली का उपयोग करके स्थिरता के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की है। जेके टायर आरई 100 में शामिल होने वाला पहला भारतीय टायर निर्माता और 16वां भारतीय व्यवसाय है। रास्ते पर बने रहने के लिए, कंपनी ने आधार वित्तीय वर्ष 2019 की तुलना में अपनी ग्रीनहाउस गैस (जीएचजी) उत्सर्जन तीव्रता को 50प्रतिशत तक कम करने के लिए एक मध्यावधि लक्ष्य (वित्त वर्ष 2030 तक) निर्धारित किया है। जेके टायर का लक्ष्य सेक्टर के भीतर टिकाऊ प्रथाओं को आगे बढ़ाना है, न केवल भविष्य के जलवायु नियमों की तैयारी करके बल्कि “अनुपालन से परे” जाकर कार्बन-तटस्थ भविष्य का मार्ग प्रशस्त करना है।आरई100 पहल में शामिल होने पर जेके टायर के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. रघुपति सिंघानिया ने कहा, “आरई100 में शामिल होने का हमारा निर्णय पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी के प्रति हमारी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। “आज कल के लिए” के आदर्श वाक्य के तहत, जेके टायर में हमारा मानना है कि एक स्थायी भविष्य के लिए आज महत्वपूर्ण कार्रवाई की जरूरत है। पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक ब्रांड के रूप में, ऊर्जा दक्षता और संरक्षण हमारी प्राथमिकता सूची में सबसे ऊपर है। हम नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा की ओर इस बदलाव को बढ़ावा देने में विश्व लीडर्स के साथ शामिल होने पर गर्व महसूस करते हैं और उद्योग में प्रेरक रचनात्मक बदलाव के लिए तत्पर हैं।”,
क्लाइमेट ग्रुप की भारत कार्यकारी निदेशक डॉ. दिव्या शर्मा ने कहा, 2050 तक अपने परिचालन के लिए 100% नवीकरणीय बिजली खरीदने का जेके टायर का निर्णय एक मील का पत्थर प्रतिबद्धता है। यह दर्शाता है कि नवीकरणीय बिजली को वास्तव में बड़े पैमाने पर, गहन विनिर्माण आवश्यकताओं के लिए माना जा सकता है। हम RE100 नेटवर्क में उनका स्वागत करते हैं और उनके साथ काम करने और उनकी प्रगति के लिए तत्पर हैं।”,जेके टायर साल-दर-साल सकारात्मक स्थिरता परिणाम हासिल करने में सक्षम रहा है। कंपनी ने नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के उपयोग को सालाना 2-5% तक बढ़ाने का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य निर्धारित किया है और अपनी विनिर्माण सुविधाओं में हरित ऊर्जा स्रोतों की स्थापना या खरीद को लगातार आगे बढ़ाया है। वर्तमान में, कंपनी की 40% ऊर्जा खपत नवीकरणीय स्रोतों से आती है।
