Scorpio hits bike in Azamgarh, killing youth, seriously injuring one

Azamgarh. A Scorpio hit the bike near Magna Bazar in Pawai police station area on Saturday evening. One youth died while another was seriously injured in the accident. Police rushed the injured to hospital and sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem. Sandeep, 24, a resident of Bhukhali village, had gone to the market with his cousin Raju to buy medicine at around 3.30 pm on Saturday. On his way back, he was hit by a Scorpio near Magna Bazaar. Both the youths were seriously injured in the accident. Both the injured were rushed to hospital. Sandeep died at 1 pm while undergoing treatment. Raju is undergoing treatment. Police sent the body for post-mortem. Police have also arrested the driver of the Scorpio. Deceased Sandeep was the eldest of two brothers. He is said to have four sisters. The incident has left relatives in a fog.
